What are the differences between a perfume and a fragrance?
As we discussed previously,the main difference between perfume and fragrance is the percentage of essential oil concentration present in each one, the proportion of alcohol it contains, and the quality of the components.
PERFUME
Perfume is the opinion of the world of perfumery. The authentic one, since the rest of the formats we discussed derive from it. Its origin dates back to Roman times, when they used them to hide the strong body odor caused by lack of bathing.
The perfume's gradations reach the highest concentration of essential oil of no more and no less than between 20 and 30% which gives it the longest-lasting and most intense hold on the market. In addition, the essence is diluted in less alcohol, which considerably reduces the negative effects on sensitive skin.
The time that a perfume can last on the skin is approximately5-8 hours, also depending on the user's pH. 
FRAGRANCE
On the other hand, fragrance is one with a lower proportion of essential oils and alcohol purity: they have between 1 and 8% of this raw material that facilitates the emission of the purest aromas. For this reason, the fixation time on our skin is shorter, we are talking about it lasting approximately between 3-5 hours.
Another difference that could be highlighted is that perfumes, due to their quality, concentration and durability, are ideal for use on special occasions, such as; on romantic dates, weddings, special events, get-togethers with friends, etc., where you will be present for a few hours and require your presence to be noticed.
On the other hand, fragrances, being lighter and softer, and their durability being less than 6 hours, you can choose to use them in more casual moments, such as days at school or to go to the office, a walk, a picnic, even to use them for the gym or to do some sport, where you want to smell good, but you do not mind going unnoticed.
Another important difference between perfume and fragrance is the price. The purity of perfumes and all the benefits seen above make their price higher than that of a fragrance.
